BODY ALIGNMENT RESTORE

Because pain will return if balance isn’t restored

WHY DO WE GET INJURIES AND CHRONIC PAIN?

Different causes for neck pain

Most people think chronic pain starts where they feel it — but it rarely does.

When one area of the body becomes restricted, another area has to compensate.

That’s how tension, stiffness, and recurring injuries build up — especially after years of sitting, training one-sided, or recovering from surgery or old injuries.

These compensations create imbalance and overload, and until the real restriction is released, the same pain will keep returning.

the missing link between stiffness, pain and recurring injuries

Fascia

“The fascia forms the largest system in the body as it touches all the other systems” – James L. Oschman.

Fascia is a continuous web of connective tissue that surrounds and links every muscle, joint, and organ.

Healthy fascia moves and stretches without restrictions.

When fascia loses its glide — through repetitive positions, one-sided sports, old injuries, or surgery — movement becomes restricted.

Some muscles overwork while others weaken, creating tension and imbalance that eventually turn into chronic pain.

Due to the fascia’s immense memory we can hold restrictions in our body for a long time without knowing.

Releasing the restricted areas and correcting strength imbalances restores balance and normal movement.

What can cause fascia restrictions?

How one injury or bad posture leads to compensation patterns throughout the body

This posture can become permanent from for example, carrying a baby on the hip, or a bag on the same shoulder. Note how it has a ripple effect throughout the body.

Fascia restrictions develop gradually from the way we move, train, and hold ourselves over time.

They often start small but, left unchecked, lead to stiffness, imbalance, and recurring pain.

Common causes include:

  • Repetitive movement

  • One-sided sports (tennis, golf, throwing sports, surfing, cricket, hockey, etc.)

  • Carrying a baby on the hip

  • Carrying a bag over the same shoulder

  • Sitting for long hours

  • Surgery

  • Scar tissue from old injuries

  • Sitting cross-legged
  • Distance runners doing speed work on an oval track
  • playing an instrument which requires the body to be rotated
  • Poor posture

what is the solution?

Back Pain

There is no one-size-fits-all treatment for the same pain!

The cause of your pain is not where you feel it.

Body Alignment Reset (BAR) finds where fascia is restricted and where strength imbalances have developed.

By freeing those restrictions and strengthening the weak areas, your body regains its natural balance and function — so pain doesn’t come back.

WHAT HAPPENS IN A BODY ALIGNMENT RESTORE SESSION?

Each session follows a step-by-step process to identify the cause of your pain and restore proper movement and balance.

1. Subjective Assessment & History

We discuss your injury and pain history, daily movement, and any habits that may contribute to imbalance.

2. Functional Testing

A test to reveal how your body compensates for weakness and where strength has been lost.

3. Full-Body Mobility Assessment

This shows exactly where your fascia has lost movement — often far from the area that feels painful.

4. Fascial Release

Different techniques are used depending on the individual, to restore glide through the fascia.

5. Temporary Yellow Page Wedges (if needed)

Used to activate a weak line or help.

6. Homework

Short, specific exercises (about 10 minutes a day) to maintain alignment and balance between sessions.

For people doing one-sided sports, these may become part of long-term maintenance.

AN EVOLVING METHOD

Body Alignment Reset is strongly influenced by The Lyno® Method (pre-2022), which forms the foundation of how I assess and release fascial restrictions.

I see what consistently creates the best, longest-lasting results — and evolve the system to reflect that.

The approach continues to develop through new testing, release, and strengthening techniques based on what works best for each individual, their lifestyle, or sport.

The goal is simple: restore balance, eliminate recurring pain, and help every client move and perform at their best.
